With the V. Shantaram biopic delayed to 2027, director Abhijeet Deshpande will next helm Kambli, a series on cricketer Vinod Kambli’s rise and struggles. He explains a series format suits the story better than a film. Casting is pending; shooting targets a November 2026 start.
